The Meade ND 96 moon filter (0.9 density; 13% transmission) reduces glare and irradiation when observing the Moon with any telescope 4 inches and larger. It also helps separate members of a binary star system. With the Meade ND96, you'll be able to observe and photograph lunar surface detail that is often virtually invisible without filtration. You'll see small craterlets in the floor of the Moon's Clavius and resolve whorls, festoons, and loops in Jupiter’s north equatorial belt. The Meade ND96 moon filter's a must-have for lunar observer's. Its results can be nothing short of dramatic. Meade 4000-series filters are essential tools for the lunar and planetary observer. They eliminate irradiation that blurs object boundaries and improve contrast between colors. And they permit observation and photography of detail often virtually invisible without filtration.

Celestron’s Moon Filter is an economical eyepiece filter for reducing the brightness of the moon and improving contrast, so greater detail can be observed on the lunar surface. The clear aperture is 21mm and the transmission is about 18%.

The 1-1/4" OIII narrowband filter isolates just the two doubly-ionized oxygen lines (496 and 501nm lines) emitted by planetary and emission nebulae, while blocking the rest of the overall spectrum of light. The result is extreme contrast between the black sky background and the faint photons of OIII light needed for detailed views of the Veil, Ring, Dumbbell, Crescent and Orion nebulae, among other objects.

Each filter has an ultra hard, vacuum-deposited coating carefully designed to block all of the visual spectrum ranging from 400 to 700 nm This eliminates the un-natural colored halos surrounding bright stars common with O III filters of less sophisticated coating technology.

JMI Celestron 9¼, 11", & 14" OTA Case. This case is for the Optical Tube Assembly (OTA) ONLY. The case includes two lockable latches, three steel-reinforced handles, a 3" by 30" steel hinge and die-cut foam lining for the telescope optical tube. It can be carried by two people using the two handles on either end or pulled using the attached wheels. The foam is configured at the factory for the 9¼" optical tube. You simply pull out precut sections to increase the cavity size to match the 11" or 14" optical tube. The finder scope and diagonal must be detached and carried separately (14") or wrapped for protection and inserted in the extra space in the case (11"). An adapter bracket is included (see below) for instant accurate repositioning when attaching the finder scope. The wheels must be attached to the case by the customer which is easily accomplished in a few seconds with no tools required.
Celestron CPC 925, 1100 Carrying Case.
